Experience-based qualification

Prior learning and work experience is an exception that allows you to gain admission to police education even if you do not have Higher Education Entrance Qualification.

What is experience-based qualification ?

Experience-based qualification is a way to gain admission to higher education even if you do not meet the requirements for general university admissions certification. This means that it is not possible to apply with prior learning and work experience if you already have general university admissions certification.

Experience-based qualification refers to the knowledge and experience you have gained through, for example, work, volunteer work, other education, or other activities. Each educational institution determines what qualifies as prior learning and work experience for their programs.

To be eligible for admission to police education based on prior learning and work experience, you must have at least five years of relevant experience that compensates for not meeting the general university admissions certification requirements, and you must be 25 years or older in the year you apply for admission. You must meet all other admission requirements, except for the general university admissions certification.
